WSG Energy Services in Canada, led by John Gordon (President – Canada), continues to grow with key locations across the country, including offices in Kitimat, British Columbia and a new headquarters in Leduc, Alberta.

The opening of the Leduc site marks a significant milestone in our Canadian expansion, strengthening our ability to deliver top-tier solutions to clients across the region. Serving as a strategic hub, this new facility supports our commitment to operational excellence and positions us to meet the evolving needs of our customers as we grow our presence in Western Canada.

WSG service delivery in Canada is supported by our global team of multi-discipline expertise, delivered effectively locally, across a range of industry sectors. WSG offer services to bring cost savings and added value to all stages of an asset’s lifecycle, through construction and commissioning, into operations and maintenance, and though to decommissioning.

We serve Refining & Petrochemical, Oil Production / SAGD, Natural Gas Production, Power, Natural Gas terminals and pipeline infrastructure throughout Canada. In addition, we are supporting Canada’s growing LNG sector, Hydrogen Production and Storage, and Data Centres development.

Technology for Canada – LNG

The local team are experts in cost effective, delivery driven and safety focused construction and commissioning support, with specialist experience within the LNG sector from WSG’s global LNG export terminal construction track record. We bring experience, specialist software and proprietary services to assist customers to achieve on time delivery.

As a sign of our commitment to developing new industry technology in Canada and beyond, we created a dedicated R&D team based in Alberta.  The primary goal is to develop new technologies, developing them for implementation in the most effect way possible.

From a turnaround perspective, WSG Canada specialises in providing innovative proprietary solutions to reduce the critical path of LNG export terminal turnaround events. Our systems can recover LNG from lines prior to de-frost to recover product and speed de-frost times. Equipment can be deployed to maintain isolated elements of a terminal at LNG temperatures while other parts of the terminal are at ambient temperatures and being mechanically modified. We can speed the time required to LEL free systems pre-maintenance, and speed purging and O2 free time post maintenance. Our equipment can perform accelerated system cooldowns to save time from the critical path, while ensuring differential temperature limits are observed. Our Advanced LNG Turnaround services can reduced overall lost product during turnarounds and assist maintenance teams to minimise overall critical path.

Technology for Canada – Advanced Waste Reduction

For the Oil Production (including SAGD), Gas Production, and Refining sectors within Canada, WSG brings proprietary technology that can bring significant financial and environmental benefits to asset owners. Our Advanced Waste Reduction services featuring our Emulsion Buster high speed emulsion breaking technology and supplementary Advanced Filtration Media to remove Heavy Metals and PFAS can treat oily and condensate waste streams that would normally head for off-site disposal. Our equipment is mobile and does not require the addition of heat or chemicals, yet it can provide a reduction in off-site disposal > 75%, returning back to the customer the oil and/or condensate that would normally be lost to waste and producing water of a specification suitable for non-hazardous disposal.
