Glycol Removal and Recovery
Process Services
WSG Advanced Waste Reduction (AWR) comprises of truly innovative technologies that provide treatment and reduction of hazardous waste streams across a diverse range of oil, gas and industrial sectors.
The AWR process provide onsite deployable solutions for ‘difficult to treat’ waste streams whist providing customers with both significant commercial and carbon benefits.
Glycol is effectively treated by WSG’s Advanced Filtration Media (AFM) which uses a combination of ‘selective’ filtration media and activation catalyst in order to treat the glycol. It significantly outperforms other common filtration by a 20: 1 ratio in terms of contact times to achieve the contaminant removal allowing significantly faster processing times than other technologies.
WSG’s AWR division can provide customers an on or offsite glycol disposal and/or reconditioning service. Our glycol services include: –
- Onsite contaminated glycol remediation of a live system – contaminated glycol can be restored insitu by passing a controlled ‘slip-stream’ of the live glycol circuit through the WSG AFM system.
- Onsite contaminated glycol remediation – contaminated glycol can be restored onsite by passing it through the WSG AFM system.
- Onsite contaminated glycol treatment / disposal – contaminated glycol can be treated onsite by passing it through the WSG AFM system.
- Offsite contaminated glycol remediation – contaminated glycol can be reconditioned offsite by passing it through the WSG AFM system. The recovered glycol can either be returned to the client or sold.
- Offsite contaminated glycol treatment / disposal – contaminated glycol can be treated and disposed of offsite by WSG.
Key benefits of the WSG Glycol Services: –
- Significant disposal cost savings and carbon impact when compared to incineration or alternative disposal techniques.
- Opportunity to avoid the costs and carbon impact of shipping large volumes of glycol to a third-party offsite waste disposal site.
- Significant cost savings of reconditioning contaminated or spent glycol either on or offsite.
- Glycol reconditioning purity 95 to 99%
