WSG makes investment into Kitja Services, Australia

We are pleased to announce WSG has made a significant investment into Kitja Services, based in Queensland, Australia.
The purchase of a minority stake in the First Nations market-leading industrial services business follows more than three years of successful operations.

In honour of its deep relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and its commitment to partnering to achieve outcomes, the business will continue to operate as a majority Indigenous-owned Supply Nation-certified company, offering specialist Coatings, Insulation and Access Services to Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, Defence and Renewables industries supporting construction, maintenance, turnarounds and decommissioning operations.

Led by Managing Director and Founder Clay Evans, Kitja focuses on developing and offering clients efficient multiskilled teams and a growing service offering while having meaningful engagement and inclusion with communities impacted by industry operations.

“Since Kitja Services inception, our aim has been to become the point of reference for all Indigenous-owned Industrial Service companies within Australia. Acknowledging that offering customers high quality services delivery whilst contributing to a more inclusive and equitable future for Indigenous Australians through increased employment and supply chain opportunities, which will strengthen the broader Indigenous communities in which we operate through capacity-building and collaborative initiatives.” said Clay Evans. “WSG shares our principles and, its investment and belief in Kitja Services as a valued partner will help us accelerate achieving our goals.”

“We’re really excited to be entering into this new venture with Clay and the Kitja team as they continue to effect meaningful change to create greater prosperity and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities,” said WSG Energy Services Managing Director Andrew Manning. “Kitja Services brings market-leading industrial services expertise – combined with WSG’s track record – specialist service knowledge and history of reliable safe service delivery. Our experienced teams will fully integrate and bring our customers an ever-increasing diversity of service offering throughout Australia.”
